Edit MIDI Notes Online: A Practice File You Can Check
Use a short practice MIDI to change pitches, adjust note lengths, save a version and verify the exported file.

Start with a file you can compare
Open the eight-bar practice melody linked below. It contains one track and 32 notes at 120 BPM. Keep a copy of the original. Opening the example replaces the current editor workspace, so export any work you want to keep first.
Make one change at a time
Choose Select and move a note vertically to change its pitch. Drag its right edge to change its length. Play the result. Quantize aligns selected notes to the chosen grid; it is optional and can remove intentional timing. Use Undo when the result is not what you wanted.
Export and Save version are different
Export MIDI creates a .mid file on your device. Save version stores an editable project in your account and requires sign-in. When prompted to sign in from Save version, the browser temporarily retains the draft for recovery. Do not clear browser storage or switch devices while signing in.
Verify the downloaded file
Reopen the exported .mid and check the pitch, note length, tempo and tracks. A successful download alone does not prove the edit is correct. The editor also accepts MusicXML and MXL; audio and PDF must go through the appropriate converter first. Renaming their extensions does not turn them into MIDI.
Download a before-and-after pair
The edited file moves every note up two semitones while preserving start times, note lengths and 120 BPM. This is an editing exercise, not an audio-recognition benchmark.
