Use this eight-bar practice melody to learn the controls before opening your own file. Opening the example replaces the current editor workspace.
- In Select mode, drag one note up or down to change its pitch. Drag its right edge to change the note length.
- Press Play to hear the change. Try Quantize only when you want notes aligned to the grid; keep the original when timing is intentional.
- Choose Export MIDI, then open the exported file again and check the edited note. Export MIDI saves a file to your device; Save version stores a project in your account and requires sign-in.
Open MIDI (.mid/.midi) or MusicXML (.musicxml/.xml/.mxl). An empty or unsupported file cannot be edited. Audio and PDF files need conversion first.
