Suno Studio can create MIDI from an extracted stem with Get MIDI, which Suno's help center lists at 10 credits per stem. Use this converter when you already downloaded the audio, want a second transcription to compare, or want one multi-track draft from a full Suno song. Every result is a transcription draft: listen against the source and clean up notes before you arrange or publish.

PureMIDI made the demo audio for this page. The MIDI is exactly what the converter returned, with no manual edits.

A clear melody usually gives the cleanest result. A full song gives you a multitrack draft to review and edit.

How to convert a Suno song to MIDI

  1. 01

    Export the audio from Suno

In Suno Studio, extract stems and download the part you want as WAV, or download the full song. A clean vocal, bass, or lead stem gives the most readable draft.

  2. 02

Choose the source type and upload

Pick "One melody or instrument" for a single stem or "A full song or multiple instruments" for the whole mix, upload the file you are authorized to use, and listen to the free 30-second MIDI preview.

  3. 03

Download the .mid and finish in your DAW

Continue the conversion, download the MIDI, drag it onto a track, choose an instrument, then fix octave jumps, note lengths, and timing against the Suno audio.

What Suno users convert to MIDI

Re-produce a Suno idea with your own sounds

Turn the melody, bass, or chords of a Suno draft into MIDI, then replace the generated tones with your own synths, samples, or live players.

Lift a bass line or hook

A Suno bass or lead stem usually converts cleanly enough to audition new instruments, re-voice the part, or double it.

Get a chord and harmony sketch

Run the instrumental or "other" stem through complete-song mode to get a polyphonic draft you can simplify into a chord track.

Make sheet music or a practice part

Open the MIDI as notation with MIDI to Sheet Music, or load it into the online MIDI editor to fix notes before exporting.

Compare against Suno's Get MIDI

If you already used Get MIDI in Suno Studio, a second transcription helps you keep the cleaner version of each part.

What to expect from a Suno transcription

  • One clear stem converts more reliably than a full Suno mix. Use melody mode for a single exposed line and complete-song mode for mixes.
  • Generated audio can contain shimmer, reverb tails, and stem bleed that turn into short extra notes. Delete them after a listening pass.
  • Vocal slides and vibrato may split into several notes. Merge them by phrase rather than by pitch.
  • Drums are not mapped to reliable kick, snare, and hi-hat pads. Treat drum output as a timing reference and see the drum stem guide.
  • MIDI stores notes, not the Suno sound, vocals, lyrics, or mix. Assign new instruments after import.
  • Separating a full song into stems first does not guarantee a more accurate MIDI result; compare both if a part matters.

Which Suno export should you upload?

  • Best: a single WAV stem such as vocals, bass, or a lead instrument, converted in melody mode.
  • Good: the instrumental or "other" stem in complete-song mode for chords and layered parts.
  • Fine: a full-song WAV or MP3 in complete-song mode when you do not have stems.
  • Skip: running a drum stem through melody mode, which turns hits into pitched notes.
  • Uploads accept one file up to 25MB; larger WAV exports are compressed in your browser before upload when possible.

Suno to MIDI FAQ

Can Suno export MIDI by itself?+

Yes. Suno's help center describes extracting stems in Suno Studio, selecting a stem, and choosing Get MIDI, listed at 10 credits. Availability depends on your Suno account and Studio version.

Why use a separate converter if Suno has Get MIDI?+

It works on audio you already downloaded, can turn a full mix into one multi-track draft, and gives you a second transcription to compare when a part matters.

Is the Suno to MIDI converter free?+

You can listen to a free 30-second MIDI preview first. Completing and downloading the full song uses credits; check the pricing page for current amounts.

Can I paste a Suno song link?+

Not yet. Download the WAV or MP3 from Suno first, then upload the file here.

Can I convert a full Suno song without stems?+

Yes. Choose "A full song or multiple instruments" before uploading. You get a multi-track draft from the mix, which usually needs more cleanup than a single stem.

Can I turn Suno drums into MIDI?+

Complete-song mode can include a draft drum track, but hits are not reliably mapped to kick, snare, and hi-hat. The drum stem guide covers better options.

Will the MIDI include Suno's vocals or lyrics?+

No. MIDI contains notes and timing. A vocal stem becomes a melody line you can play with any instrument; lyrics are not extracted.

Can I use the converted MIDI commercially?+

Converting audio does not change who owns it. Only upload Suno songs you are allowed to use, and check Suno's terms for your plan before releasing derived work.
