What separation can and cannot do
- Separation is an estimate. Faint vocal echoes or cymbal wash can remain in the instrumental, especially on dense mixes with heavy reverb.
- Piano, guitar, synths and strings stay together in the other stem; they are not split into separate instruments.
- Only upload music you own or have permission to use. Stems are deleted automatically after 7 days.

How much does it cost?+
The first 30 seconds are free to preview, up to 3 previews a day. Splitting a full song costs 2 credits up to 3 minutes and 3 credits up to 6 minutes. Failed jobs are refunded automatically.
Which stems do I get?+
Vocals, drums, bass, other (everything else), and an instrumental that combines drums, bass and other.
Why do I need to sign in?+
Separation runs on a GPU server, so jobs are tied to an account to keep previews fair and to let you come back to your stems later.
Can I convert a stem to MIDI?+
Yes. Each stem has a Convert to MIDI button that opens the job in the PureMIDI converter. MIDI conversion is priced the same way as uploading the audio yourself.
How long are my stems kept?+
Stems can be played and downloaded for 7 days. The uploaded song is deleted within 2 days after separation finishes.
Can I use it to make an a cappella?+
Yes. The vocals stem is the a cappella. Download it as WAV if you want to edit it further.
